"Have you ever had a case of the “stitching blahs” where you just didn’t want to stitch? Or maybe it was more like you didn’t get to stitch because you were busy and that created a chain reaction sense of the “blahs” and led to even less stitching…. sort of like a case of “the Mondays” that we are all familiar with. How do you handle your stitching blahs and get back into stitching mode?"
Why yes,I have!!! I think the longest was five years. I do tend to go for weeks at at time, and then wonder why I am not stitching! When that happens,I try to put in at least one length of floss a day. It relaxes me, and then I realize, that one thread turned into an hour of enjoyment. :-) Sometimes just pulling a small project will get the stitching mojo back.

I'm so glad I am not the only one who has had the LONG episodes of blahs... I went around 3 years with not a single stitch. It was awful and I was cranky!
I went 5 or so years without stitching but it wasn't because I had lost my stitching mojo. It was because I was married to a guy who didn't like me doing it! Good riddance, lol.
I didnt stitch for nearly 15 years. I think it was the 3 kids I had and the daycare I did with another 6 kids, not to mention tball, baseball, softball, Girl Scouts, and everything else that comes with kids. LOL
Oh my, I guess, I'm lucky. DH doesn't mind me stitching but my ex did! Now I did not give up stitching, but I've gain an ex...
Hi
Just found your blog through the Stitching The Night Away blog.
I only have the blahs if I have to keep on frogging a project! I put it away for a few days and then try again.
What a great idea for getting over the blahs...at least on length of thread a day! I am going to try to remember that when I don't think I have "time" to stitch.
